small explosion generated underwater inside an ‘applicator’. This wave is

Shockwaves are used to treat a wide range of pathologies in areas such as bone healing, tendinopathies, muscular trigger points/myofascial pain, dermatology, wound healing, spasticity and impotence (erectile dysfunction). It can be easier to find deeper, painful, diffuse trigger points with shockwave therapy than with palpation.
